IT Support Methodology

The design of the technology infrastructure requires great attention to the continuous evolution of systems and technologies, to enable performance optimization and rationalization of costs.

With this in mind our experience, interpreting the new market needs, can provide the most appropriate solution to meet the needs of support and technology infrastructure management, optimizing costs, and defining a path that aligns with the technologies real needs.

Information Technology: key points of a good system

Regarding the system's structure and its dimensions must be given particular attention to the following:

  • Scalability: The system should be designed so as to ensure a high degree of scalability, in particular as regards the dimensioning of resources, network traffic and the number of users. The term scalability refers also to the maintenance of required levels of reliability, availability and performance in the event of an increase in workload
  • Flexibility: ability to offer different users (users, categories, groups and applications) different services with different modes of acquisition, in other words, the application must be configurable to allow the dynamic variation of information (categories / roles Users who access the system, applications / systems authorized to access, optional services provided to different categories of users, etc.).
  • Resiliency: any block of a single component should not cause further negative impacts on the rest of the system. Furthermore, the connection of new users should have no negative impacts on the operation of the system
  • Modifiability: the possibility of easily and simply modify the functionality of the system without causing negative impacts on performance
  • Extensibility: ability to easily and simply add new functionality to the system. (definition of new types of service, adding new components, implementation of new workflows and application processes)
  • Compatibility: the technological infrastructure to ensure and guarantee the use of hardware and software fully supports that are officially certified as compatible on all of their interrelationship and integration within the complete system
  • Efficiency: in terms of performance levels, security, continuity

Information Technology Standards compliance

The infrastructure development process must be undertaken in line with the latest regulations and design guidelines for the sector and consider the adoption of an IT platform based on a modular architecture, divided into logical levels, with distributed components, using standard communications protocols open.

In particular must be followed the following guidelines:

  • modular platform architecture levels to ensure high resistance to environmental technology and to best meet the requirements of flexibility, modularity and scalability
  • multilevel computing architecture for configuring load balancing and high availability
  • mass storage system shared and reliable environments through implementation of SAN (Storage Area Network) with appropriate levels of redundancy (RAID)
  • protocols and data communication services adhering to open standards, to guarantee a greater decoupling of system components and thereby ensure a greater modularity.
